Hong Kong Exchange Programme
Monday, December 8, 2008

HEY GUYS! I have found my Hong Kong trip diary!
*Cheers!*
Alright, I did not edit the photos like how I edit them nowadays.
I shall just dump all the photos here.

Sunday (Day 1)

It 's finally the day which i can go over to Hong Kong and enjoy the trip!
I woke up at 7.00am (which is consider late?) and wore that bright orange group T-shirt which all the participants are supposed to wear today.
At 7.30am, dad drove us to the changi airport, mum and younger sis tagged along too, while the others were still seeping. When we reached there, i gathered with the other school mates who were also going for this programme. We then proceed to check in our luggage as a whole group, and the queue is quite long. My luggage weights about 18kg. I wonder how am i going to ''survive'' when i came back from the trip.

Mum asked me to have breakfast first, but i ''rejected'' knowing that i'm not supposed to leave the group unless instruction given. Mrs Koh and Mr Quah came, they told us to take care of oursleves as well as Miss Yue and all of us ended up laughing. We then get back our examination overall result on the spot before we had our breakfast with our family. While enjoying our meal, my family and i spent that time chatting. It had been such a long time since my family and i sat together, chatting together while enjoying our meal.

Lastly, everyone waved goodbye to their families and went into the hall. On the long long way, i snapped some random photos. Finally, we boarded the plane. I'm very excited as it's going to be a rather ''clear'' experience for me of what is it to be like on the plane. As my first and last experience on the plane is when i'm only 6. The ''memorise'' is vague.

Anyway, my seat was 50D, which is quite at the end of the plane. I get to sit beside two guys whom i don't know however they were also involved in this exchange programme, but different school. During that 3 hours journey, i felt a little bit dizzy, so i watched movie which is provided by the Singapore AirLine to ''distract'' myself from the dizzyness.

I watched ''Underdog'' which is so hilarious and i can't stop laughing and goes ''so cute lar!'' in my mind. Next, i watched ''hairspray.'' I decided to watch that as i knew that i saw that character on the display picture before. Somehow, the story concept is about the same as ''High School Musical'' which involved sings, dance as well as a little bit of drama.

However, i didn't get to finish the show as there's some technical problem, kept forwarding till the whole show ends. I then proceed to listen to songs. At 2 plus, we have reached our destination! Most of us then rushed to the toilet once we alighted the plane, Some switched on their phone to check whether there's any messages. Others' phone were abled to recieve messages from Singapore but not mine.

We then get back our luggage but soon, i found out that they spoilt the handle of my luggage. We went to report at the counter, and ended up being the last group to come out. When the moment i come out, i looked around to find April. Spotted April and her mum. When the moment i stepped out of the airport, i am super gald that i am going to stay some where, where there's 24 hours air-conditioner place for 10 days!

Went to April's aunt's house to stay over the next 10 days as April's aunt's house is bigger than her house and there's heater to keep the room warm. By the time i reached her home, it already dark like 8.00pm plus in Singapore despite it's only 6 plus After putting my stuff and changed into a new shirt, April's mum took me to the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade.

And i got to watch ''fascinating stars at the Avenue'' which is a small stage at the side of the road, where anyone could perform on that small stage without paying or being paid. There's beautiful night sence which can't be describe through words and i just can't take pictures of the sence excatly what i saw there. Got the chance to visit their shopping centre, harbour city. Everything is so expensive.

Next, we went to watched the Show which wasn’t so fascinating as April told me that there's show with fireworks. But i just don't get the chance to see it. Next, we went to have our dinner at a resturant. And called it a day.

Monday (DAY 2)

It's their Sports day.
At around 7.00am, i woke up and changed into PE. Attire.
Both April and i then took the MTR to the sport stadium. I was told that the sport stadium is quite near their school.

Met YuanTing and both of us sat there and did nothing except for chatting some random stuffs. During that whole long period, beside yuanting and i, Miss Yue and another hong Kong teacher were there too. So, the four of us chatted.

That Hong Kong teacher said that our PE. Attire looks nice, Meanwhile, Yuanting and i were like «showcasing» our School logo and the different colours which were printed on our attire.

In the middle of the event, we went to the food stall nearby, hoping to get some food. However, it's a little difficult for us even though the menu which was paste on the wall was in chinese fonts, we still stared at them as they were in traditional fonts. Worst still, we don't even understand a single cantonese. This then made it hard for us to place our order.

At the ending of the whole event, all the cheer leaders came out and guess what? Their cheering was fantastic! Both yuanting and i were amazed by the cheering. Or maybe, it's because, it's hard to see our school cheer leaders cheering the way which they did, so we were attracted by the whole cheering session.

After the sports event, April and i as well as the others who were involved in this Hong Kong exchange programme, went to have wantoon mee which was recommended by one of April's friends. I believed that it must be very nice as it was very crowded. However, it's turned to be very bitter and salty, and everyone thinks so. April then promised me that she would bring me to have wantoon mee which is very delicious.

They then brought us to a famous milk pearl shop and it cost $3 per cup. However, i still think that it's very worth as it is quite unique. It's unique in a way that it has two flavours in one cup. By moving your straw up and down, you could taste the different flavours.

Next, we then proceed to Clementi Secondary School for an Opening Ceremony. Those Singapore participants were supposed to change into their costume which must represents one of the four major culture, races in Singapore. And my costume was the indian costume.
